What Is RBAC?

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) restricts what a user can see and do inside a platform based on their assigned role, such as Owner, Admin, or User. DataTrue includes RBAC at every pricing tier with no limit on the number of users, so enterprise teams can manage access without paying per seat.

As more people touch a tag-testing or compliance platform, uncontrolled access becomes its own risk. RBAC ties permissions to a role rather than granting everyone the same access. DataTrue uses a three-tier model: a User can create and run tests, including ones wired into a CI/CD Pipeline, but can’t manage who else has access; an Admin can manage user access but can’t view billing; and an Owner has full access, including billing.
